Vahid Behmaram Water Rights Manager Washoe County Dept. of Water Resources

Vahid is a graduate of the University of Nevada at Reno, Mackay School of Mines where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geophysics in 1985. He began his professional career in Long Beach, California with The Earth Technology Corporation, working on a wide variety of assignments, including defense related projects with the U.S. Air Force; siting of permanent nuclear repositories; superfund projects and the evaluation/selection process for the Super Conductor Super Collider project.
Vahid returned to Reno in 1990, and after a short career in the gold exploration field he was hired on at the Nevada State Engineer’s office. After nearly 3 years of service with the State, Vahid joined Washoe County as a water rights technician. In 1996, Vahid was promoted to the water rights supervisory position with the Washoe County Department of Water Resources, where he is involved in all aspects of utility operations and water resource management in Washoe County.
