The State of Idaho is recruiting for a civil engineer, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience, to lead its Department of Water Resources.  Reporting to Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter, the Director has responsibility for water management, water resource planning, a 150-person staff, and $20 million annual budget.

Truckee River Floor Management Authority

Executive Director

Background: The mission of the Truckee River Flood Project is to reduce the impact of flooding in the Truckee Meadows, restore the Truckee River ecosystem, and improve recreational opportunities by managing the development and implementation of the Truckee River Flood Project.

The position:  The Flood Management Project Executive Director is appointed by the Truckee River Flood Management Authority Board. Responsibilities include technical and strategic project management, analytical support and advancing the interests of the project with the Nevada Congressional Delegation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, business groups, regulatory and government agencies, and environmental groups.  Further details on this available position can be found in the file here.

July 8th, 2011 Final filing deadline All completed resumes and materials must be received by 5:00p, local time.
July 14, 2001 Applications screened and top candidated identified by the Board of Governors at the Flood Management Auhority public meeting.
 
Week of July 18, 2011 Reference checks and initial background investigations initiated.
 
Interviews To follow upon completion of the reference and background checks with the Flood Management Authority Board of Directors public meeting.
