Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award for 2011 has been awarded to Mr. Gene Rush. Congratulations!!

"In recognition of your contributions to the study and understanding of occurrence, source, movement, and fate of groundwater in the State of Nevada. Your prolific authorship of groundwater resource reports in the Water Resource Bulletins and Reconnaissance Series Reports, cooperative efforts between the U.S. Geological Survey, the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the State Engineer's Office, provided a critical first estimate of the hydrology and water resources of Nevada's hydrographic basins, brought about a better understanding of the hydrology and scarce water resources of Nevada, and enabled the most efficient and maximum use of this valuable resource. Through insightful discussion of basin-scale hydrologic processes and implementation of the best tools of the day, your work has stood the test of time, and continues to be the measure by which more recent and extensive studies are compared. Therefore, the Nevada Water Resources Association hereby presents you with its Lifetime Achievement Award."
