Clare Mahannah Memorial $1,000 Scholarship
Clare Mahannah, a pioneer in rural Nevada water resource issues and longtime member of the Nevada Water Resources Association, passed away on February 7, 2007, after a long battle with colon cancer. Clare left behind him a legacy in rural Nevada water resources issues. In honor of Clare’s memory, the NWRA is honored to assist with the Clare Mahannah Scholarship, which is funded by sponsors who wish to honor Clare’s legacy and recognize intelligent individuals pursuing a career in rural Nevada water resources. The scholarship assists the serious student with degree completion. The scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a Nevada university or community college. Qualified students must be pursuing a degree in the field of water resources.

Qualified students must be pursuing a degree in the field of water resources.
“Current students should take advantage of the networking opportunities so they can see what types of companies they may be interested in working for. They should also apply for the scholarships because every little bit helps.”
