Lake Tahoe Basin, Sciences & Research Scholarship
The 6th Biennial Lake Tahoe Basin Science Conference: “Environmental Restoration in a Changing Climate”, was held September 21-23, 2015, in Reno, Nevada. The goal of the Tahoe Science Conference was to reach the professionals who were involved in science and management of the Lake Tahoe Basin and other alpine or aquatic ecosystems in the region, the United States and globally. Presenting their message during the three-day Tahoe Science Conference was an excellent opportunity for promoting sustainable environmental stewardship. Funds remaining as a result of the 2015 Tahoe Science Conference will be awarded to five individuals who are currently involved in research in the Lake Tahoe Basin. $500 scholarships will be awarded to five students. Qualified students must be pursuing research in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Preference is given to students who demonstrate scholastic aptitudes and serious long-term interest in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The scholarships are available to high school students, undergraduate students, and graduate students.
The Tahoe Science Conference Scholarship application must be received by July 30, 2018. Applications received after that date will not be considered. Students must submit the application form and a short (no more than one page) Curriculum Vita that emphasizes activities not included in the application form. A one paragraph description of their thesis topic, field of interest or career goals is required of all candidates. Applications must be received in electronic format or postal mail by July 30, 2018. Incomplete applications will be returned.
Multi-State Salinity Coalition Scholarship
The Multi-State Salinity Coalition (MSSC) is now accepting applications under its Future Industry Leaders Scholarship Program to award $2,500 to a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a degree program related to water resources. The award includes complimentary registration, lodging, and travel allowance to the 2019 MSSC Annual Salinity Summit, to be held February 28 -March 1, 2019, in Las Vegas, NV.

2019 Mine Water Management Symposium Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is available to high school students, undergraduate students and graduate students attending any university of community college.
The Mine Water Management Scholarship application must be received by December 6, 2018.
Clare Mahannah Memorial $1,000 Scholarship
Clare Mahannah, a pioneer in rural Nevada water resource issues and longtime member of the Nevada Water Resources Association, passed away on February 7, 2007, after a long battle with colon cancer. Clare left behind him a legacy in rural Nevada water resources issues. In honor of Clare’s memory, the NWRA is honored to assist with the Clare Mahannah Scholarship, which is funded by sponsors who wish to honor Clare’s legacy and recognize intelligent individuals pursuing a career in rural Nevada water resources. The scholarship assists the serious student with degree completion. The scholarship will be awarded to a student attending a Nevada university or community college. Qualified students must be pursuing a degree in the field of water resources.

NWRA Annual $1,000 Scholarships
Every year the Nevada Water Resources Association provides two $1,000 scholarships to assist the serious student with degree completion. Scholarships are awarded to students attending a Nevada university or community college. One scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate and one is awarded to a graduate student. Qualified students must be pursuing a degree in the field of water resources.
The NWRA Scholarship application must be received by December 6, 2018.
