Join the industry’s leading experts at the 2025 Mine Water Management & 20 Years of Pit Lakes Science Symposium for an opportunity to discover the latest solutions and strategies for understanding mine water and pit lake challenges. The Symposium will highlight topics such as pit lakes, mine closure strategies, water rights, environmental sustainability, and case studies from leading mining projects.
The Symposium will also commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Pit Lakes 2004. Hosted by United States Environmental Protection Agency, Pit Lakes 2004 was held in Reno and remains the single largest gathering of pit lake practitioners held to date with over 220 pit lake researchers, consultants and regulators in attendance from around the world. The Symposium will host four sessions highlighting advances in pit lake prediction, management and closure with speakers from the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States, plus a panel session with global subject matter experts.
Attendees can benefit from a variety of technical sessions and panel discussions, diving into the latest technologies and regulatory knowledge in the field. Presentations cover pit lakes, water treatment, reclamation techniques, innovative methods to mitigate the impacts of mine water, and more. The Symposium fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry experts, researchers, and regulators.

Cancellations received within 7 days of the start of the event will not be refunded, however substitutions are welcome. All other cancellation requests will receive a refund minus a 25% administrative fee. If you have purchased the registration with a credit card, the convenience fee is non-refundable.
